Turn on the ignition in your X3 and put the vehicle in Park (P). Select APPS from the sidebar on home screen of X3’s infotainment system. Select Android Auto. Select your mobile device name from the list. A Bluetooth pairing request pop-up will appear on your phone with a pin-code.
I use an Android phone mounted on the fairing for nav and music, Bluetooth connected directly to the bikes audio system. Use a car dock app instead of on device Android auto though, as I use a few sips that aren't AA supported. Going to check out head unit reloaded though - thanks for that. Thankfully, there's a fix. First, launch the Android Auto app on your smartphone and hit Google Assistant. On the subsequent page, navigate downwards and click Music. Here, you'll encounter the list of all installed music streaming services; tap your preferred alternative to set it as your default.
